They're such a unique colour, even though I sometimes think they're somewhat of a fragile beauty compared to some of the more robust crimsons and other shades. What they may lack in longevity, they make up for in beauty :)

I couldn't agree more.
That pale yet conforting colour always reminds me of dirty white fabric roses that you find in old graveyards (everybody loves plastic flowers here in Portugal...), that seem to freeze in time.
