Well it seems all that the south needed to fix the severe drought for the "Desert Southeast" was for me to head back up to New England, because it's been a deluge here ever since I got back ;)

The drive to and from was so long, but 100% worth it for being able to support and take part in such an incredible event! I've been doing a lot of reading up on the Animal Rescue League, and am just so proud to have helped them in any way I could.

Click this photo to view my site's webpage for the event where you'll see lots more photos and be able to read more about what the evening entailed and how the proceeds will be put to good use by the ARL:

Thank you so much to those who attended, participated, and those who may consider attending in the future (yes, we're hoping this will become an annual event!).

Happy Haunting,
~ Kambriel

Absolutely! ...and if this all happens again next year, maybe we can figure out a way for you to come with? :)

(Oh, and now that I've taken care of this, I should be able to finally get those other pages done ~ I'll let you know when they're ready!)

Hey Sweetie! How lovely you all look!! I especially like the contrast between you and Curse. Fabulous, and I suspect, unintended, as many brilliant works of art are. :)

I purchased a Cel (print?) for a Christmas gift. :)

HaHa! In looks or personality? ;)

The Cel is gorgeous ~ you'll really like it... it isn't a print, but more like a transparency (nicer though), and is mounted in a beveled black matteboard with an ivory backing so you can see the design clearly (I guess "clearly" is a bit of a pun here!).

Hee! I got to be mysterious and hidden in the photos. *grin* I love the way the photos came out though, the lighting was so neat!

I think Nadya put it best describing the look as "absinthe-fueled gaslight"... Considering what a low-light situation it was, the photos came out very well! I'm glad we "risked it" and didn't use any flash since they're much more atmospheric this way.

And hidden & mysterious for a Gorey show is *perfect* ;)

That's a perfect way to describe it, you're right. :) I think the shadows add to the mystique and atmosphere of the photos, despite he palpitations the poor professional photographers were going through!
