Inspired by a friend who is a bit depressed at the way her holidays are going this year... Rather than looking downwards at what's underneath the tree, lift your eyes up ~ you'll find there are many blessings to be found. I've had many years where it was bare under the tree with maybe two or three presents, but at the same time I felt really good about it all because I got exactly what I wanted ~ which was to let people I care about know I was thinking of them and they had a place in my heart. Some gifts you just can't wrap.

Maybe that's the difference between presents and gifts.

May your heart be filled with abundance this holiday season.

You have indeed just made my holiday, ma'am. I think any person who even spends a moment in your house has received a great, great gift.

Hi lovely! The ornament was made by [livejournal.com profile] odpeacock. She has a post with some similar ornaments available here:

If they're sold, I'm sure she'd be happy to make new ones for you to have in the future :) I know I'm wanting to start a tradition of adding them to the tree each year ~ because a tree full of Theda's ~can't~ be a bad thing ;)

You know I love that card! It's a pity you can't see it, but the presents wrapped in red that you can just barely see in some of the pictures, are wrapped in paper that's the same pattern ~ they came from my gift swap partner! Erte was very well represented here this holiday :)

I was scrolling down the page just as hubby came in the room. Yelling...Hey...she has that skull paper too! Then I see the spider web bag and go oh wait..no wonder I recognize it. LOL! Out of site out of mind. Lovely tree.

The skull paper was awesome ~ especially tied up with the pretty black ribbon and rose. All of your gifts were *SO* nice, I'm really enjoying them (mmmm, Absinthe soap!) :) And thank you for the terrific magnet, it's already found a place of prominence on the tree and Curse likes it a lot too. Will you be offering these in the future? If so, I'd be more than happy to spread the word about them if you'd like...

Glad you liked the goodies. The silver picture frame skeletal ornaments just hang but a magnet is a good idea. They will eventually be added to the web site. Right now they are just gifts for friends. :0 )The little raven is now perched on my tree. Thank you so much for the "witchy" sign.

You are so right and sad to say materialism has made people forget what the holidays are truelly about, those around you. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

PS: Yay for pilsbury doughboy ornament!

That's something I love about handmade gifts ~ they are more about time than money... I love giving gifts for the holidays, but for me it's a representation of letting the recipient know their being thought of rather than feeding into some kind of commercial mentality.

The doughboy is supposed to be a keychain, but he looked like an ornament to me ;)
