Yesterday, Summer and Dru did a photoshoot for their upcoming Mirabilis CD "Sub Rosa", while wearing the flowing gowns I designed for them especially for the occasion. This series of photos came out so romantically that it looks as if they both stepped beyond the canvas of a pre-Raphaelite painting.
They even got to play a bit of my favourite game, "Stalk the Peacock"!

Date: 2007-05-01 12:59 am (UTC)there's a park near here with peacocks, including a couple albinos. it's always a treat to see them strutting around showing off their tails. :)
(and hooray for a new mirabilis cd!)

Date: 2007-05-02 05:00 am (UTC)the organ pavilion is positively gorgeous, as it has the architecture set against green. considering doing a low-key victorian picnic lunch there for my birthday (since last year's attempt was foiled by a back injury), and then stroll about the park with friends and a parasol, perhaps visit one of the museums or the japanese friendship garden.

Date: 2007-05-01 03:08 am (UTC)I hope you don't mind the way we accessorized them with belts. We each helped each other pick something to add to the gown. Actually, my kitty picked my belt. It goes with a different blouse I have and as I was rummaging through my closet, he began to bat at the belt hanging from a hanger. I don't normally like a line right under my bust, but the way the dress fit me, it really worked out!
Dru had brought a lot of different accessories with her and I loved the way the chain set off the gown. The colors were perfect for the scenery we chose. The fabrics are so amazing and lush. Thank you again, so much. We had such a wonderful time draping them around for different effects!

Date: 2007-05-01 09:46 pm (UTC)Your kitty has ~exceptionally~ good taste (give him my compliments!) ~ I noticed right away how good that belt looked and the placement if very flattering. I remembered you mentioning in the past not liking the empire cut, but in this case, the proportions looks just right and you appear so very regal and statuesque.
