I started weeding through some old cassette tapes today, and was debating donating them or trying to sell them in lots, but the creative side got the better of me (it usually does!). Behold Peter Murphy's "Holy Smoke" ~ which is currently being morphed into a shawl:
lol back in 2000 I did a gallery show at this really cool place in Dallas that was called Art Landing. One of the other pieces on display that month was this really awesome wedding dress that this girl had crocheted out of tapes that she and her bf had listened to while they were dating. it was such a cool idea and always stuck in my head that I should figure out something to turn my old cassettes into but I never have yet. glad to see you're doing something fun with yours!
