Pumpkin Patch-work!
Feb. 10th, 2010 02:23 pmRecently, I made a new batch of patchwork shawls ~ many of which are double-sided and incorporate *well over 100 individual pieces of material each* ~ much of which is a variety of decadent silks and velvets, along with other rare/unique fabrics in a variety of textures and hues! Their cost for the most part is only within the $45-$75 price range, not bad considering the work that goes into creating each and every one :)
You can find them on my One of a Kind page, or by following the photo preview links below. These are all ready to ship as soon as they're ordered, so you could still have them in time to enjoy during the blustery weather...
Pumpkin Patch Shawl (made with textured "Autumn Leaves" textural dyed silk, along with vintage silk ribbon fabric):

Absinthe Garden Shawl (you can't really make it out in this picture, but the floral centerpiece is antique appliqué work of incredibly intricate hand-wrought skill):

Do you remember the silver/black swirls shawl that you made custom? it's my favorite shawl ever and it got lots of compliments from my former office boss.
Great set with the matching beret!

Date: 2010-02-11 09:34 am (UTC)You always find such inventive and beautiful ways to use up those little end bits that are far too pretty to throw away (and often very expensive! I had a load of little bits, which I added to the boa you made me ages ago, from a length of silk that cost £40 a metre...I was not going to waste ANY of it!) and give them a wonderful lease of life!
