Recently, I made a new batch of patchwork shawls ~ many of which are double-sided and incorporate *well over 100 individual pieces of material each* ~ much of which is a variety of decadent silks and velvets, along with other rare/unique fabrics in a variety of textures and hues! Their cost for the most part is only within the $45-$75 price range, not bad considering the work that goes into creating each and every one :)

You can find them on my One of a Kind page, or by following the photo preview links below. These are all ready to ship as soon as they're ordered, so you could still have them in time to enjoy during the blustery weather...

Pumpkin Patch Shawl (made with textured "Autumn Leaves" textural dyed silk, along with vintage silk ribbon fabric):

Halloween Shawl:

Absinthe Garden Shawl (you can't really make it out in this picture, but the floral centerpiece is antique appliqué work of incredibly intricate hand-wrought skill):

What an incredibly kind compliment ~ I shall strive to deserve it!

And with a beautiful spirit such as your own, I could never believe in you ever being "poor" :)

Awww, how sweet. Fine, then, I wish I had the money (that you more than deserve!) to spend on one of these, so I could actually touch one. :) Instead I'll just have to admire them from afar. I just love your sense of color, shape and texture balance.

Please stop making things I can't really afford right now. ;)

They're all lovely, but the Halloween one is a knockout. Those aren't even my colors, but the way everything is put together is just perfect.

I can't help it, something about the cold weather especially, just makes me want to work a lot on these sort of projects...

I surprise myself with these too sometimes ~ being drawn to colours that I wouldn't normally think I'd go for. The patchwork especially tends to be very unique combinations, and a kind of archeological record of what's been getting worked on over time.

They're ALL so gorgeous, and right now my brain is going "want! can't afford but WANT!"

Especially since my gothy-side hasn't had a good outlet in a while...

SO BEAUTIFUL. I truly do envy and admire your talent. *goes back to coveting*

they're ALL gorgeous!
I love especially the last one!
Do you remember the silver/black swirls shawl that you made custom? it's my favorite shawl ever and it got lots of compliments from my former office boss.
Great set with the matching beret!

Thank you ~ it's always a challenge to get all the different textures and tones of the fabrics to show up, but I though these showed the variations quite well so it's ~almost~ like seeing them in person :)

How much do you charge for....I guess it would be called reconstructive work? I have a very old skirt that a teacher gave me when I was in junior high, and I simply don't have the skills to repair/do anything with it. It's quite lovely, but I'm at a loss as to whether it can even be repaired/rebuilt/renovated/whatever.

Hmm, it would have to depend on what was needed/possible ~ the design, the fabric, etc... It's not something I typically offer to do, but if you want to email me via the website sometime, we can see what the possibilities might be.

Lush :)

You always find such inventive and beautiful ways to use up those little end bits that are far too pretty to throw away (and often very expensive! I had a load of little bits, which I added to the boa you made me ages ago, from a length of silk that cost £40 a metre...I was not going to waste ANY of it!) and give them a wonderful lease of life!

I recognize the black plume velvet burn out fabric!!

These are terrific, Kambriel! I have my eye on at least 2-3 of them! Naughty temptress with your gorgeous fabric pairings.....! ;}
