Photos from Gauri & David's Buddhist wedding ceremony! I had the extreme pleasure of using some fabric for Gauri's gown that she had found years before in India ~ fabric which she'd always kept on hand with the dream that it would one day be made into her wedding dress. Ten years later, the time had come for this to happen :)

And last but not least, our good friend [livejournal.com profile] badriyaz, bringing radiance and joy to the festivities:

Here is a link to the full gallery of images if you'd like to see more photos from all three of their Buddhist, prayer, and Hindu ceremonies:

It's definitely one of those weddings that just by the photos alone, you wish you could have attended in person! :)

I don't think they could possibly look ~any~ happier either, and that's got to be the best part of all :)

I wish we could have been there with you! I was so happy to stumble upon the photo of you dancing ~ how perfect! Some of the others were incredibly cute too ~ like the one of you & M with the little children, and the exuberantly happy one of the two of you at the Hindu wedding all in gold :)

The shoes were lovely ~ I like how they showed off the mehndi on your feet! It truly looks like you had some very joyful days (I'm assuming the different weddings were held on different days) ~ I'm not sure I've ever seen a more *festive* wedding and am so glad it all went so wonderfully for you both :)

So beautiful! And so happy!! :) Many congrats to the sweet couple!
I had hoped to have a Buddhist wedding also, but hubby wanted a purely secular one...so we compromised by having it in our lovely 1917 home! :D

I went to my first Buddhist wedding back when I was a teen, and it was adorable ~ for the reception, they rented out the local gothic/punk club! It was the first time they ever served sake there ;)

Your wedding-at-home sounds very romantic!

Ooh is that a white version of the Midnight Bustle gown? Wow she looks amazing.

She certainly does glow, doesn't she? The gown is a combination of different design elements from the Midnight Bustle and the Crystal Palace (http://www.kambriel.com/palace.html) and the beaded skirt was based on an Indian half-circle design.

What an incredibly lovely event! And I am seriously lusting after the bridge's ensembles for both ceremonies ...

She was such a vision in all the ceremonies... The Hindu wedding looked so very regal and vibrant!

The entire issue looks lovely, in my opinion. The feature on your work was very nice. Images from Topsy Turvy are so pretty too!

Let me try that again, you do amazing work - I think this is the second or third wedding I've photographed where the bride/groom worn your clothing. Truly beautiful.

If you need/want photos, and its ok with G&D - we can talk.

You did such a lovely job of capturing the spirit of the day/s ~ I would have loved to attend in person, but thanks to your photos, I nearly feel as though I did! Thank you :)
