An unexpected treasure
Jun. 8th, 2009 01:34 pmI recently received a postcard for a Steampunk themed exhibit in Los Angeles at the Glass Garage Fine Art Gallery, featuring a painting by Margo Selski ~ an exquisite artist for whom I made a Midnight Bustle to wear for a different exhibit opening last year. She ended up using her outfit as inspiration for the central figure in this work entitled "The Ladies' Underwater Gardening Society, Class of '09"... what an unexpected treat!

That was a beautiful photo shoot of Summer & Dru with the peacock... how nice to hear one of the shots made it into Mick's book :)

They're a lovely cross between Dali and Tenniel's illustrations of Alice in Wonderland about them, with the faces of the serious Tudor aristocracy that would adorn the walls of all the galleries I went to on school trips! A really fansastical mixture!
