Exhibit mention in Harpers!
Jul. 28th, 2008 12:21 pmThanks to a heads up from
scarletfaewind, I found out that the August copy of Harper's Bazaar is listing the upcoming Gothic: Dark Glamour exhibition on its "Hot List"!

Not only that, but I was thrilled to see there is also an art nouveau jewelry exhibition called Imperishable Beauty going on in Boston at the same time! I was already wanting to make a quick trip up to Boston/Salem afterwards if time permitted since JetBlue lets you fly in/out of different cities for no additional charge as a chance to visit local friends and haunts for a day or two before getting back to work, so now this has become a must! (For those of you who don't know, I adore art nouveau jewelry ~ I even wrote an in-depth article on it for "The Sentimentalist" magazine several years ago.)
Also, we found a new place to move into! This means the next couple of weeks will involve cleaning it top to bottom, replacing carpet and removing wallpaper, (and let's not forget the actual moving itself) in any hour that can be squeezed in between the other stuff going on. If you're expecting an email from me, it might take a bit longer than usual, but rest assured I'll be responding pronto as soon as I can :)
