Yes I recognized both having seen them in magazines and on-line so this is quite the nod. I like to think maybe it's because your clothing is more wearable by more people.

Mildred (Mother of London) and I got to hang out for a while at one point, and we both have a close to the heart connection with Laura from The Pale Court, so it was certainly an honour to be nominated together for this.

It's always been important to me to design pieces that have a certain aesthetic drama, and yet still can be effortlessly worn ~ hopefully that does come across :)

Thanks Libby :) Ever since '93 when I first wrote a friend/designer (Lana/"Blackened Angels") about my plans to release a premiere collection, I made a conscious decision within myself never to view fellow designers as "competition". That said, this was a wonderfully talented group ~ and a real honour to be included amoungst!
