'Tis true, I managed to prick each of them one after the other today. Nothing serious at all, but I did have to look and see if a murder of crows were gathering outside at the time...

I just linked this on my Twitter page, but for those of you not there, here's a delightful little San Francisco flavoured irony of a response to sign-waving protesters meant to brighten your day:

And here's a close-up of the antique beaded piece I've been working on getting into some kind of wearable condition again:

...for that link! That is one of the most awesome things I've seen in a long time!

Good luck with the beaded piece, may your fingers be nimble and spritely!

I love that beaded web design, bet it looks gorgeous in the light!

My friend's daughter goes to a school in Palo Alto where Westboro tried protesting earlier this week. Just a handful of Westboro's people versus what they said was about four hundred counter protesters? http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_14295198?nclick_check=1

Why they are showing up at high schools and such is beyond me. But then again, that type of thinking that they have is also beyond me. Since my mother lived in Topeka, I've been hearing about these guys for years. At least they have less and less people as time goes on.

What a great reponse to the protesters! Sometimes the only way to do battle is with humor.

When Phelps and co protested at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, they had a Phelps-a-thon and raised $3600 for the school's gay/straight alliance.
