Cat & Tim's firefly blessed wedding
May. 24th, 2009 11:02 amCat & Tim's (aka
meiow and
timswar)'s wedding was yesterday ~ you might remember some of the preview photos I posted recently here: http://kambriel.livejournal.com/211006.html
They are so ~in love~, a perfectly matched pair of souls, that it was just an absolute joy and honour to be asked to design the outfits for them. As beautiful and handsome as they each looked, I truly believe that is due to their absolute kindness and warmth of spirit shining through...
As a few tiny examples of their thoughtfulness, instead of gifts, they requested that donations be made to charity, and in place of something like confetti, they had provided little bottles of wildflower seeds from their garden ~ so yet more beauty could grow from the occasion in the future:

melantha71, who graced us (on her birthday no less!) with sonorous flute playing:

Speaking of Rachel, here's a photo she took of the very happy couple:

One of the indoor flower arrangements (very pretty colour scheme with purple/wines accented with feathers):

Peacocks became a bit of a theme:

Cat's stunning bouquet (peacock feathers were incorporated into this too!):

My purse ended up fitting the theme perfectly:

Their flower arrangements were potted plants, so guests could bring them home and let them flourish!

Yours truly, towards the end of the night:

One last glance back at this happiest of occasions:

Add to these images some zydeco music (with Cat's brother on bass), the most delicious cake (three types ~ carrot, chocolate, and strawberry shortcake), a charming magic show... as we left, glowing fireflies were oh so kindly escorting us back to the car and shining the way down the gravel road. A very magical evening indeed!
