Here are a few photos of an ivory/black striped jacket that I recently made for Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls:

Sorry about the wrinkles ~ I had to bag it up to bring to the show.

In this shot, you can see some of the smaller details like the handmade black silk flower, and abstract spangles which sparkle in the light, but apparently not in bad flourescent lighting without a flash... and my favourite OdPeacock necklace :)

The photos were taken at 3 AM, after going to see a late night production of "The Onion Cellar", so I couldn't resist letting that dreaming/zombified state sneak into at least one of the pictures ;)

The hat is one I made back when I was a teenager ~ still love it after all these years!

Oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh! Verrrrry nice work, dear.

(And dammit, exactly the sort of jacket I've been coveting for years. Oh well, I will eventually have one in a pink/black stripe. Eventually.

Gods, it's beautiful!! Fabulous job as always. It's amazing with that ruffle back, embroidered skirt, too :D

Can you share your source for blk & wht striped fabric? I can't find any, and I've searched in vain.

I did keep an eye out for you when I was fabric shopping, but didn't find that. I found some oh-so-romantic lace with satin ruffles in pale rose which would make a pretty overskirt though :)

I'm getting rather attached to that skirt, I think it's safe for me to say it's my favourite skirt right now. I wore it to the show and 90% of the audience at least was in blue jeans... Oh well, I wore it because I wanted to! :)

This actually isn't black and white, but black and antique ivory stripe (I was actually looking for black and grey at the time). All I could find was a tiny 2 yard piece! Can you believe I was able to figure out a way to make *this* jacket from two yards of 45" fabric?! It seems such a basic, who knows why it's such a challenge to find. There are sources for black/white satin, but it's costume-y quality, so I avoid using it.

With all those scraps, you can do an archeological "dig" through my history of recent projects! If you end up wanting them, there should be some interesting/extravagant ones from making all of the C13 outfits too :)

You made it from TWO YARDS of fabric? Awe does not even begin to *cover* my reaction to that.

Ah, you would have killed me when I told you the deadline! Film is a fickle bitch - she beats me up regularly. I had no idea when I went on holiday last November if I had to shoot as soon as I got off the plane or not! Luckily, I got a week. Ha ha. What I really didn't expect was them wanting one of my "characters".

But yes, yes, many more opportunities... even now.... looking at some of your newer items. But you do also do one of a kind things, yes?

It may have been 2 and a quarter. Sometimes when necessary, I have a weird Rumpelstiltskin talent for being able to make things with what's on hand even if it makes no sense at all in the physical realm! It's strange, and it does take a *lot* more time and forethought, but I'm not complaining that I was able to make it work :)

you know I *WILL*...

I even have some thoughts of things to do with those ivory lace triangles in the box... I will have to email you shots if they come out how I want...

Oh yes, I have a personal stash of many unique fabrics, so I'm often up for one of a kind items.

You'd be amazed at some of the deadlines we've managed to accomplish. One of the most memorable was a Moonlight Bustle for a wedding in one day (and sleepless night)! It was ordered Thursday for a wedding on the other side of the country that Saturday. Who knows what my heart rate was!

Oh my! Wow!
**note to self**, Kambriel works really well under insane pressure! Definitely who to contact!

So I have an idea (or two), best email is your info one?

**amends note to say** Kambriel doesn't really enjoy the insane pressure... it's not really a market I want to corner ;)

But yes, don't be afraid to ask in the future to see if something's a possibility because if I can help you with it, I will :) The info email is perfect-o.
